Landscapes

To paint landscapes in New Mexico is a most extraordinary pleasure and privilege. The light and shadows at mid-morning and mid-afternoon must be among the very best in the world. [continued] We have rugged mountains, tranquil lakes, and the historic Rio Grande. We have many beautiful villages and diverse cultures who inhabit them. We have lush valleys, arid deserts, and a full four-season year with all the associated colors. I especially enjoy painting landscapes on a special sanded surface that I prepare myself in a wide variety of sizes. Most of these paintings are framed in gold seamless frames, without a mat, and behind anti-reflection glass.
